Please read these terms carefully before booking our appliance repair services.

1. Our Services

BS Appliance Expect Repair provides professional appliance repair services including but not limited to: refrigerators, washing machines, dishwashers, ovens, stoves, dryers, microwaves, and air conditioners.

All repairs are performed by certified technicians using genuine OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts where available. We proudly serve Johannesburg, Pretoria, Midrand, Centurion, and surrounding areas.

2. Call-out Fee & Pricing

R350 call-out fee applies for inspection and diagnosis of your appliance issue.

This fee is fully waived if you proceed with the repair.

Quotes are valid for 14 days from the date of issue. Prices may change due to parts availability, currency fluctuations, or additional damage found during the repair process.

All prices are in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT where applicable. We provide upfront, transparent pricing with no hidden fees.

3. Warranty

We offer a 6-month warranty on all repairs performed by our technicians. This warranty covers:

  • Parts replaced during the repair
  • Labour for the specific issue that was repaired

The warranty does NOT cover:

  • Damage caused by misuse, abuse, or neglect
  • Power surges or electrical faults outside the appliance
  • Pre-existing conditions not addressed in the original repair
  • Appliances that have been tampered with by a third party after our repair
  • Normal wear and tear

4. Customer Responsibilities

When you book our services, you agree to:

  • Provide a safe and accessible working environment for our technicians
  • Ensure the appliance is disconnected from power/water/gas where appropriate
  • Provide accurate information about the appliance issue
  • Collect any replaced parts within 30 days (otherwise they will be disposed of)
  • Secure any pets during our technician's visit
  • Be present or have an authorized adult present during the repair

5. Cancellations & Refunds

Cancellations with less than 2 hours' notice may incur a R150 cancellation fee.

If our technician arrives and is unable to access the appliance or property due to no fault of our own, the full R350 call-out fee applies.

If we are unable to fix your appliance after reasonable attempts, you will receive a full refund of any amounts paid (excluding the call-out fee if repair was not completed).

Refunds are processed within 7-10 business days.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, BS Appliance Expect Repair shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect or consequential damages (e.g., spoiled food, lost business, temporary accommodation, or loss of use)
  • Damages exceeding the total amount paid for the repair service
  • Issues arising from pre-existing appliance conditions that were not disclosed
  • Damage caused by improper use after our repair

7. Payment Terms

Payment is due upon completion of the repair, unless prior arrangements have been made.

We accept cash, EFT, and card payments (Visa, Mastercard). For corporate accounts, payment terms may be negotiated in writing.

Late payments may incur interest at the prime lending rate plus 5% per annum.

8. Right to Refuse Service

We reserve the right to refuse service or leave a premises if:

  • Our technician feels unsafe in the environment
  • The appliance is beyond economical repair
  • The customer is aggressive or abusive toward our staff
  • The repair requires parts we cannot source

In such cases, only the R350 call-out fee (if no repair was started) will be charged.

9. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes shall first be resolved through good-faith negotiation, then through the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) processes, and finally resolved in the courts of Johannesburg, South Africa.

These terms comply with the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) No. 68 of 2008.

10. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.

Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. For significant changes, we will notify customers via email or SMS.
